Youths who have risk factors such as obesity, diabetes, or high blood pressure are more likely to keep up with these risk factors as adults. These risk factors increase the chances of having heart, brain, kidney, and other diseases. The normal blood pressure threshold for younger people below 65 is 140/90. Ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg. High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90 mmHg or higher. Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60 mmHg or lower. The normal blood pressure for people over 65 is 150/80.

How Can One Prevent hypertension?
Well, you just have to eat a healthier diet and avoid most junk foods. You don’t have to eat every food because they look good. Fried food, canned, frozen, and processed foods, deli meats and cured meats, salted snacks, these categories of foods are more likely to increase your blood pressure.

Smoking would cause damage to your respiratory system. Smoking causes an acute increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Smoking has more dangers attached to it. A smoking addict will likely have a respiratory disease later in their life. Alcohol intake might actually have more dangerous effects than smoking when you look at some of its life effects. Having more than three drinks in one sitting temporarily raises your blood pressure, but repeated binge drinking can lead to long-term increases.
